Two Beautifully Painted Floral Still Life and Niche Murals
A set of two custom painted floral still life murals were custom designed then hand painted onto canvas in studio. A professional florist was commission to create a floral arrangement using real flowers so that we could have a true reference to use for the mural. After the flower arrangement was photographed, a pencil sketch of the entire design was created first, followed by an actual painting done in a smaller scale so that the client could see exactly how the mural would look. After our client approved of the smaller watercolor painting, a large piece of canvas was prepped for the actual murals. The entire decorative surround was hand drawn then faux finished to create a faux stone effect. The intricate detail of the stonework was completely hand painted in several layers to resemble beautifully carved stone. The still life, urn and background was painted in artists oils which creates a soft and romantic effect. Upon completion and with the use of scaffolding, the murals were installed in our clients two-story entry foyer above two separate doorways.
