Faux Wood Grained Cherry Wood Cabinet
After having a beautiful granite
countertop installed it was time to pay some close attention to these old oak cabinets. We
began the process by taking these completely flat doors and adding a beaded
molding to create a decorative frame for the doors. Next we primed and painted
the doors and cabinet in several stages. We then wood grained the vanity
and doors in a faux cherry wood effect. The door moldings were highlighted
in a 14K gold mica powder and the decorative wooden scrolls were gold
leafed. This new and updated cabinet now features the glamour and glitz
needed for this newly
remodeled bathroom. The photo below displays the cabinet in it's
"before" stage.
This cabinet was featured in the New Jersey Star Ledger Newspaper in an
article titled "Artful Alternatives".
